Grade 1 Gallery - Speckled Hens Stamp Prints
Students used marker caps and tempera paint to print their speckled hens. They used basic geometric shapes, semi-circles and triangles for the body and beak. They cut out organic shapes for the chicken's wattle, comb and feet. They added a googly eye for a fun finish!

Eighth graders enjoyed learning about the beehive huts built 1,400 years ago on the Skellig Islands off the coast of Ireland. They know that the 670 step-staircase leading to the six stone huts were carved by hand from solid rocks with the simplest of tools. Used as a monastery, it is one of the worlds most striking examples of early Christian architecture. The Skelligs are also renowned as an important site for breeding seabirds including Puffins, Storm Petrel, Fulmar, Kittiwake and Gannets.
