Grade 2 - Slide deck: "The Journey from Dinosaur to Museum". Review color wheel, analogous and complementary colors. The students will know that Velociraptor means "swift plunderer" in Latin. They will do a directed sharpie drawing and add stripes, scalloped lines and circles to their "Raptors". Using the color wheel for reference they will plan a color scheme!

Grade 3 - Literature: "If the Dinosaurs Came Back" by Bernard Most. In this lesson, students will imagine dinosaurs coming to big cities and walking among the tiny cars and skyscrapers! They will use horizontal lines, squares and rectangles to create a sharpie cityscape. They will draw their dinosaur and create shadowed areas on it to give it a 3-D look! They will be using a primary color palette.

Grade 7 - Prehistoric Fish - This free-choice project allows students to imagine, draw and create. They will observe pictures from the book "Raptors, Fossils, Fins & Fangs" by Ray Troll & Brad Matsen. They will select one main fish as the emphasis, then fill up the rest of the paper with smaller fish. They will use several mediums to fill in the large areas and the detail work.
