The book "Her Right Foot" has many fun facts about Lady Liberty. It explains the history of the statue, why she has 7 points on her crown, why she is the color green and the importance of the date on her tablet! It was a great inspiration for these beautiful watercolors.

After drawing this magnificent canyon's layers and the Colorado River, students deconstructed their work by cutting it apart! They reassembled it with bits of cardboard glued behind some pieces to create depth.
